"Melissa Tagg follows up her debut novel with a stellar sophomore read. With her charming wit and engaging prose, Tagg pens a story of hope in God's dreams for us and ties it all together with sigh-worthy romance. Truly a book and author not to be missed."
~Rachel Hauck, award-winning, bestselling author of The Wedding Dress and Princess Ever After

After playing nomad for five years, Blake Hunziker has finally had enough of adventure. Not sure what reception he'll get from everyone back in Whisper Shore, he's stunned at not only a warm welcome from his hometown but also a job offer. The job is his if he can successfully pull off the annual Christmas Festival. If only he knew the first thing about coordinating events...
If there's one thing Autumn Kingsley knows, it's Whisper Shore. For years, she's been stuck running her family's inn when all she wants is to see the world. Now she has a visit scheduled from a potential investor who could take over the inn, as well as a dream job offer in Paris. But with just two weeks to whip the inn into shape, her chance at escape is a long shot.
The Hunzikers and the Kingsleys may not get along, but Blake knows Autumn's the only one who can help him. She agrees to a trade—she'll help with the Festival and he'll help with inn repairs. But what was meant to be a simple deal quickly becomes much more than that when the guy who's done running away joins forces with the girl who can't wait to leave.

Autumn Kingsley runs her family's inn and the annual Christmas pageant in the tourist town of Whisper Shore. An investor is interested in buying the inn and a Paris job opportunity presents itself, but Autumn can only jump on these offers if she is able to bring the inn up to snuff in the next two weeks. Blake Hunziker, trying to leave his past behind, returns to his hometown where he agrees to take on the planning of the Christmas pageant. Blake also strikes a deal with Autumn: he will help her fix the inn if she helps him organize the event. Although reciprocal feelings develop, the accidental death of Blake's brother, Ryan, is still a barrier between them. VERDICT Tagg's sophomore effort (after "Made To Last") is a homespun tale of faith, hope, and redemption. The well-drawn characters and unhurried pace set the cozy tone that will appeal to fans of gentle romances with a faint thread of Christianity woven throughout.

Autumn Kingsley loves the inn on the shores of Lake Michigan that has been in her family for generations, but living in Paris has long been her dream. Now that she is responsible for the inn and its employees, an offer of a job in Paris could finally make her dream come true, but first she has to ensure the inn's future well-being. Blake Hunziker, who masqueraded as a celebrity's husband in Tagg's Made to Last (2013), returns to Whisper Shore, where his hotelier family and the Kingsleys have had a Hatfield-McCoy relationship. While Autumn's inn seems to be literally falling apart (yes, a bathtub has landed on the dining room table!), Blake, who has been estranged from his family, has just experienced a prodigal son's return and been offered a job coordinating the town's winter festival. For the good of their community and the future of their family businesses, Autumn becomes festival co-coordinator. Tagg's signature gentle humor, clean romance, and an integrated and unobtrusive inclusion of faith into the story make for another enjoyable read.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2014, American Library Association.)
