Cassia Pappas's father abruptly moves his family from Santa Cruz, CA, to Galveston, TX, to open a new gyro restaurant. But just as they are getting settled he wants to close the business and move back. Unfortunately, this time around there is more at stake than just uprooting the clan--many of the Pappas family members have found much to enjoy in Galveston, especially florist Cassia, who has fallen in love with handsome Alex Rigas. Will the family follow Babbas, the patriarch, and return to California, or do they take a stand and make him realize that their true home is in Galveston? VERDICT Thompson's fourth entry in her wedding-themed series (after The Dream Dress) presents a humorous look at a close-knit Greek family, the members of which are somewhat out of their depth as they acclimate to a new city. (Think My Big Fat Greek Wedding moves to Texas.) Thompson's characters are well drawn and appealing, and her writing is fresh and engaging. Fans of chick lit and foodie fiction will enjoy this fun romance.
