      The power struggle for control of the Edge continues between the goblins of Undertown, the shryke-sisters, and the Guardians of Night. Librarian knight Rook Barkwater is caught up in a plot for revenge by Vox Verlix--a former ruler bent on revenge. Though it starts slowly and speeds too quickly through the finish, the story is vivid, imaginative, and well plotted.
