Va va BLOOM • From Celine’s mini dresses decorated with psychedelic sprays to the catwalk takeover of reworked vintage fabrics at Chloé, there’s no hiding from horticulture. Our favourite way to wear florals? Consciously clashed, as seen at Dries Van Noten.

Ready for ACTION • Dressed-down days have a new MVP this spring as cargo pants (ideally in khaki or camo) pick up the slack from denim jeans. Wear them with ballet flats, floral prints or a natty cardigan for fail-safe outfit combinations that work hard – so you don’t have to.
The best of BOTH WORLDS • Meet the designers bringing high fashion to the high street
Let the CAT OUT • This season’s take on ribbons has a feline flair. The pussy-bow blouse was a must-have on the catwalks: edged up by Jonathan Anderson for Dior; worn with studied indifference at Saint Laurent; and adorning country-club ensembles at Ralph Lauren. Originating from the dandyish cravat, it later became a political staple and the embellishment of choice for power dressers from Marlene Dietrich to Kamala Harris. Wear yours glam rock like Gucci, or prim and proper à la Valentino. Style it masc; style it femme. By our count, the pussy bow has at least nine lives.
